The George Bengal Fund to End Animal Cruelty. The Foundation supported this fund, established by the Pennsylvania SPCA, as it works to remove animals from cruelty and neglect, prosecute the culprits and rehabilitate the animals so they can regain their physical and emotional health before finding their forever homes.
DISASTER RELIEF UNICEF USA Puerto Rico Relief provides aid to children coping with the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
ELDER CARE Celebration Lifelong Learning is an educational program for Seniors which when combined with the Thriving in Place program, that the Foundation has previously twice granted, provides a strong support and enrichment program for Seniors who wish to remain active and in their own homes. Organized under the auspices of the Celebration Foundation, the project serves portions of Osceola County, Florida.
GLOBAL HEALTH Against Malaria Foundation. Malaria kills 500,000 people each year. The most cost-effective form of malaria prevention is mosquito netting. This grant provides 2,500 nets to be distributed in malaria-prone areas.

GLOBAL HEALTH Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases. Nearly one in six people suffer from NTDs – bacterial and parasitic diseases that disable people and perpetuate poverty. The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. The recent escalation of hate-based rhetoric in mainstream politics and the rise of hate-based violence is a concern to our Foundation.
GLOBAL HEALTH Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases. Nearly one in six people suffer from NTDs – bacterial and parasitic diseases that disable people and perpetuate poverty. The Foundation participates in the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases to raise the awareness, political will, and funding required to eliminate these diseases as a public health threat to the world’s poorest communities.
Doctors without Borders. The Foundation provided support to further this group's mission to provide neutral, impartial, and ethical medical care around the globe.
HOMELESSNESS House Orlando's Homeless. The Foundation provided significant support to a program spearheaded by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation along with the Orlando Magic and Orlando Sentinel to raise and grant money in support of Orlando's efforts to provide permanent housing for low-income individuals and families.
HUNGER Good Shepherd Food-Bank Child Hunger Program. The Foundation funded the development of school pantry programs at two schools in rural Somerset County, Maine: Quimby Middle School and Solon Elementary School to combat widespread rural hunger in Maine.
WOMEN'S HEALTH Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando. The Foundation supports the provision of reproductive services and a woman's fundamental right to control her own body.
YOUTH ENRICHMENT Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Young People's Concerts. The Foundation helps sponsor these Young People’s Concerts which introduce students to the geography, history and cultures of various countries through performances of orchestral music, opera, and ballet.
The Tampa Bay Theatre Festival Scholars Program. The Foundation provides funding for this program which provides opportunities for promising students considering a career in the arts, but who would not otherwise have the opportunity, to study and network with theater professionals. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. The Foundation supports this group's efforts to provide safe places to learn and grow for nearly 14,000 children between ages 6 and 18.
2014 Grants
ELDER CARE Thriving in Place. The Foundation provided a major, local challenge grant to facilitate the start-up of a program designed to allow seniors to remain in their own homes rather than move to a nursing home or assisted living as they age. Organized under the auspices of the Celebration Foundation, the project will serve portions of Osceola County, Florida.

HUNGER Good Shepherd Food-Bank Child Hunger Program. More than 60,000 children in Maine are living with food insecurity, meaning they don’t always know where their next meal will come from, or if it will be enough. That represents 1 out of every 4 kids – the highest child hunger rate in all of New England. The Good Shepherd Food-Bank Child Hunger Programs focus on meeting the nutritional needs of children during the times they are most likely to experience hunger.
